I was born in Germany. I moved to Canada in 2017 to build a life with my now husband. Our first daughter was born in January 2020 (cue in PTSD of having a newborn in a pandemic) and we completed our family with our baby boy who just turned 1.

What Inspires Us at GlüxKind?

‍

I still have a strong connection to Germany with family and friends living there. So our brand name was inspired by the German word Glückskind (meaning “lucky child”). It describes anyone, child or adult who has luck on their side and that’s exactly the feeling that we want to give parents - everything will work out just fine! 

‍

Our mission is to create magical moments for parents and babies alike. We know that parenting is stressful but we also know that there is no other time in your life that is so rich in moments to be treasured. 

‍

My husband and I, together with our engineering team in Vancouver have poured lots of blood, sweat and tears into developing our smart strollers over the past years. We’ve tried and tested every feature always first with my husband :D before we started using the strollers with our kids. 

‍

The biggest reward for all the hard work is always when mom’s eyes light up as they remember the early days of their own parenting journey and express how much our stroller would have helped them when they were in the thick of it. Now we are extremely excited to provide exactly that support and fill this gap in the market.
